In 2005, the United Nations (UN) introduced the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. The day of remembrance - based on the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp - takes place annually on January 27. This tour focuses on the planning behind the systematic mass murder of European Jews under National Socialism and sheds light on the role that Dachau concentration camp played in the Holocaust.

Venue: Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, Alte Römerstraße 75, 85221 Dachau, Meeting point: Visitor Center 

Speaker: Sebastian Seger, project worker in the education department of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial.

Registration: Registration via the Münchner Volkshochschule, the Volkshochschule Eching or on the day of the event at the information desk of the visitor center of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial by 1:45 pm at the latest.
