In 2005, the United Nations (UN) introduced the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. The day of remembrance - based on the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp - takes place annually on January 27. This tour focuses on the planning behind the systematic mass murder of European Jews under National Socialism and sheds light on the role that Dachau concentration camp played in the Holocaust.
