Path of remembrance

On the path of the prisoners

The „Path of Remembrance“ has been providing information with twelve panels along the route from Dachau train station to the visitor center of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site since 2007. In 2026, the path was extended with additional panels on the grounds of the former „herb garden.“.

Steles 1-11 commemorate the historical significance of the path on which most prisoners were transported to the Dachau concentration camp during the Nazi era. The three-kilometer walk to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site takes approximately 45 minutes.
