Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928 - 2000) was an important Austrian artist of the 20th century who worked primarily as a painter, but also in the fields of architecture and environmental protection. Throughout his life, he was artistically opposed to the „straight line” and any kind of standardization.

KA7 shows works on paper in various techniques, such as screen printing, lithography, color etching or Japanese color woodcut, which were created in the period from 1964 to 1992. He was the first European to work with Japanese woodcutters. A special feature of many of his prints is metal embossing, in which different colored metal foils are embossed into the paper. They create a spatial effect with a shiny structure.
