The fate of female prisoners in Dachau concentration camp is an aspect of the camp's history that is often given little attention. Although it was mainly men who were imprisoned in the main camp, there were female concentration camp prisoners in some of the satellite camps. Taking individual biographies into account, the tour provides an overview of the Nazi image of women and the situation of women in concentration and extermination camps. Less well-known aspects are also discussed, such as the establishment of a prisoners' brothel in Dachau concentration camp.
