People have to have a future, otherwise they just live for themselves. That works too, but it can get boring at some point. Especially when you realize that there is still a lot to change. Many people despair at this back and forth; there's a couch potato and a DIY optimizer in all of us. How do the two work together? In terms of time alone? Or does one gain the upper hand? Either way, the future will tell, but we'll have to figure out what it looks like in time. Ecco Meineke is taking a new path with his 5th solo program. Not classic cabaret, but not comedy either. He calls it Getup-Standup. The PREMIERE on 15.04.2025 at the Theater am Schlachthof / Munich was highly praised by the Süddeutsche Zeitung: „The only way to a usable future... Society has always been divided and together at the same time. His recommendation for action: don't moan, take matters into your own hands, get involved, become more political again. Qualities that have largely disappeared in the course of digitalization, turning homo handyensis into a couch potato.“
