The Dachau water tower supplied the town with water from 1910 to 1969. It fell into oblivion and was threatened by decay until it was extensively restored in 1998.
Thanks to the Dachauer Wasserturm e.V. association, it has become a cultural meeting place where exhibitions, readings and concerts take place.
