euroart - the association of European artists' colonies

euroart - we inspire cultural connection

Europe's artists' colonies have left their mark on art history beyond national borders.

For around 30 years, many of them have been working together in the euroart network with the aim of making the art of the past and current artistic creation in the towns visible and inspiring guests with this valuable heritage. More than 100 partners from 13 European countries work together on reciprocal exhibitions and tourism cooperation.

The city of Dachau has been a member of the association since 2002, and Dachau's Lord Mayor Florian Hartmann has been President of euroart since 2021.

A journey through southern German artists' colonies

The three Bavarian partners Dachau, Prien and Murnau have already implemented several joint projects.

Due to their geographical proximity, they can be easily combined and are also ideal for day trips from Munich.

Here you can find out more about Prien and Murnau.
