Privately owned house. Ludwig Dill (1848-1940), architect and painter, visited his friend Adolf Hölzel (1853-1934) in Dachau in 1896. The moss and the light made him want to stay. He bought a small house in the former Holzgartenstraße, and later also the adjacent property. The newly built and remodeled house is still owned by the family today. The artists Arthur Langhammer (1854-1901), Adolf Hölzel (1853-1934) and Ludwig Dill became nationally known as the „New Dachauers“. Dill is an honorary citizen of the town of Dachau.
