Inventions, Sinfonias & Sonatas: That sounds like piano music, like Baroque and Viennese Classical. And the music that pianist and composer Florian Malecki will play also sounds like Bach and Beethoven – at least almost! Because in fact these are Malecki's own compositions, created from 2022 onward, published online on ‚Spotify‘ & Co., and which he is now presenting live for the first time. His nine Inventions and Sinfonias in more distant keys are stylistic copies of works by J. S. Bach, while the two Sonatas are more independent and formally oriented toward piano sonatas by L. v. Beethoven.
So, a completely normal piano concert? Yes and no! You will experience 90 minutes of classical yet new piano music – on Friday even the world premiere of the works. The special atmosphere at the ‚Kunstwerke Dachau‘ (limited to 80 seats), light refreshments, and an exhibition of paintings and installations by Paul Havermann round out the program.
