In 2016, Hugo Strasser's golden clarinet fell silent forever.
Marco Plitzner and his Blue Moon Orchestra had the great honor of touring with Hugo Strasser from 2010 to 2016. With great feeling and respect for the great role model, the stage program for the CD of the same name features well-known Strasser hits such as Wild Cat Blues, Creole Jazz, Misty, Honeysuckle Rose, Creole Love Call, and others.
The great trumpet player Horst Fischer, a companion of Hugo Strasser, is also commemorated with „The Infatuated Jazz Trumpeter“.
All moods are represented at the show; from soulful ballads like „Danny Boy“ to catchy swing numbers like „Oh, Lady be Good,“ there is something for every taste. During the presentation, the audience will hear some anecdotes from the time spent together with Hugo Strasser. As with all programs featuring the Blue Moon Orchestra, the necessary „spice“ is provided by the well-known „Stan & Ollie“ lookalikes with some slapstick interludes. Tickets are available through München Ticket at all usual advance booking offices. Partial proceeds will go to the St. Nikolaus children's hospice. The Blue Moon Orchestra has been touring as an ambassador for this facility for many years.
