Our senses are the gateway to the world. Through sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, we explore our environment, form memories, and navigate our daily lives. We often only realize how naturally we use these abilities when they are impaired or absent. This year's annual exhibition at the district museum invites you to rediscover your own perception. Vivid models provide fundamental insights into how our sensory organs function. Historical objects from the collection, as well as selected loans, show how the understanding and significance of the senses have changed over time. Current issues – such as those from medical research on supporting or replacing human sensory functions – are also addressed. Interactive stations offer visitors of all ages the opportunity to get actively involved, to test their own senses, and to playfully explore them. The exhibition is part of the annual theme „Senses“ of the working group „Landpartie – Museums around Munich 2026“. Opening hours: Tue – Fri 11 AM – 5 PM Saturday, Sunday, Holiday 1 PM – 5 PM
