Swastikas on school desks, racist slogans in class chats, targeted provocation in lessons: extreme right-wing and misanthropic incidents are not isolated cases in schools and other institutions. With input from a member of the Mobile Advisory Service against Right-Wing Extremism in Bavaria (MBR), we will look at strategies, structures and current manifestations of the extreme right in order to lay the foundations for actively standing up for a democratic and humane school. This will be followed by a discussion of the participants' personal experiences and points of contact with the topic of the extreme right in a professional context. They can talk about fears, challenges, limits and opportunities in everyday life. Based on their own practical examples, the participants develop strategies and possibilities for intervention together with the workshop leaders from the Family, Environment and Parent Counseling on Right-Wing Extremism (F.U.E.R.).
The event is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal program Demokratie leben!.
